The Active Transportation Committee works to plan, coordinate and provide recommendations to Town Council for an overall Active Transportation system that encourages walking, cycling, rollerblading etc, to get from point A to B, rather than using motor vehicles.

The Rail Trail

Beausejour Active Transportation Committee has completed Phase 1 of the Active Transportation plan in the creation of the Rail Trail, a multi-use pathway that runs from Highway 215 to Fifth Street North. 

Due to the hard work by the Beausejour Active Transportation Committee for the creation of the Rail Trail, they were awarded the 2025 Health & Wellbeing Award from Recreation Manitoba.
